Yes, It is cold and Christmas here in St. Louis, MO, but in some regions of the world it is actually very hot, dry and summer right now.   We are proud of our volunteers in Ethiopia.  Please read below and find out how you can make one man's Christmas the best he has ever experienced.   This is a simple man with a simple dream- to make a better Ethiopia through sports in an area that borders Somalia, and Kenya.

“I have a passion for Christ and dream of youth soccer ministry.  These boys do not know the cross message of salvation of Christ and live in the desert of darkness.”

                                                                                       -- Somali underground pastor

Bringing the Good News to these young men who live in refugee camps near the Somali border through a soccer ministry is the dream of one of our house pastors in Ethiopia.  His passion for Christ is apparent the moment you meet him.  He is well known in the border area by these boys as he was once a soccer player in the region.  They lack direction, live in poverty and are labeled as troublemakers.  His goal is to raise them up in hope through soccer.  Self reliance is the goal through faith in God.

This Somali house pastor understands that trust and love are only possible by investing in relationships.  His proposal involves:

  • creation of two teams

  • equipment

  • training for coaches

  • restore fields to playable conditions

  • total cost = $1000

Faith that Works partners with ...,  suppling  Bibles for refugees near his hometown.  We know and trust him.  Please consider partnering with us in this mission that will make an impact on the next Somali generation, making a difference in one of the most oppressed regions of the World.

Faith that Works feels called to assist this house pastor in bringing the love of Jesus Christ to the lost through his soccer ministry.  We ask that you prayerfully consider being an answer to his prayers.  Simply click on the link below to donate and we will send you updates and pictures of this project.
